There is no PVS-Studio user who uses analyzer in C++Builder IDE. Why? We're thinking about removing C++Builder support in one of future releases. What have we done wrong?

Maybe the price? I do use RAS Studio XE2 and RAD Studio XE6. I will download and try this week-end. I know that I never ever do any mistake in my coding
, so that will be just to try it
....

I have never seen one single coder that will use anything that he or
she has to rent. Selling timed software will not work very well to
professionals. Of course this is just my opinion

I think the issue is quite simply cost. I don't think you will find anybody that suggests the tool is not useful and would make all of our code more robust. But spending thousands of dollars (the cost is no longer on the website, but when it was I think it was over $2000 for a single license for a single year, that had to be paid every year!) is not something that small development companies can afford.

Woop, I didn't expect to see a comment here after so many years. Yes, the product is not meant for very small companies or individual developers. This article will help to understand whether it is worthwhile to use PVS-Studio or not: PVS-Studio ROI. As for individual developers, small teams and open-source projects, there are various types of free licenses: Ways to Get a Free PVS-Studio License.
